Is Chiropractic Safe During Pregnancy?
Chiropractic care during pregnancy is safe for both mom and baby. Spinal adjustments are especially gentle during pregnancy because of the hormone relaxing released in the pregnant women vertebrae (spinal bones) move much easier. Women should have regular care especially when pregnant even if they are not suffering from any symptomology to gain overall optimal health. Conditions pregnant women do enter the office for are: back pain, sciatica, leg cramps, fatigue, carpal tunnel syndrome, breech presentation to name a few.
Certified Natural Childbirth Instructor
Dr. Talan is also a certified natural childbirth instructor. Her courses are 8-12 weeks in length on natural childbirth. It is our belief that most women with proper education, preparation and the help of a loving and supportive coach can be taught to give birth naturally. Certified natural childbirth classes teach the mother and coach to work together as a team to achieve a safe, healthy, natural birth that they prepare and plan for. This is your birth! The couples are taught how to stay low risk and healthy. Relaxation is the key to this method of natural childbirth during labor. Women are taught to trust and work with their body while coaches support and become an active vital part of the pregnancy, labor and delivery. This is so everyone can welcome this new precious life into their lives.
